Pathway/Career EXPO

If you think your students could be interested in becoming professional pilots we will be more than happy to attend your Career/pathway EXPO and provide full information about study, career and pathway options in the aviation industry. Work Experience Programme

As part of our strategic plan for supporting young aviators, we are happy to provide a single placement for a 2-day Work Experience programme to a Y12 student on a quarterly base. To apply for the programme we require a school to send us an official request and include an essay from the student about Why he/she wants to become a Pilot. Request can be sent by email to [email protected]

Charity Events

Our Club has a quarterly budget for charity events and free You Fly Trial Flight gift vouchers. If you or your company are planning a charity event or looking for an opportunity to get sponsored/supported please send us an email to [email protected] (in this email please provide information about your event and what kind of support you’re looking for so we can go back to you with the solution as soon as possible)

Open Days

Our Club will be organizing Public Open days twice a year for a limited number of visitors. The goal is to show the community what we do at the Club and invite the local community to be involved with the club more often. The information about upcoming Open Days will be published on our website at least 3 months before the event. If you would like to attend one of our Open Days please send us an Expression of Interest to [email protected]

Private Visits

If you are looking to organize a Private visit to North Shore Airport and North Shore Aero Club for your company/school/homeschool we are more than happy to help you with that. There are multiple things that can be done, depending on what you are trying to achieve. To get more information about all available options please get in touch with us by sending an email to [email protected] (in the email please provide as many details as possible – your company name, occasion, number of people attending, the ultimate goal for a visit, your budget, etc.)

Public Area

Club’s Lounge and observation deck with a panoramic view of the runway are available for public access throughout normal office hours – Monday to Sunday, 8 am to 5 pm. So if you want to do some plane-spotting or enjoy some food while watching aircraft taking off and landing – you are always welcome at North Shore Aero Club. The kitchen area, BBQ and Club’s bar are available on request.

Young Eagles Programme

The North Shore Aero Club runs the Young Eagles programme, under the auspices of Flying NZ, to foster and give young people the opportunity to have flying and aviation-related experiences. We run the Young Eagles programme once a year from March to September, applications are open throughout the year and close on the 1st of February.

Aviation Gateway Programme

ServiceIQ’s Aviation Gateway Flying programme is a fantastic way for students who are interested in aviation to get a feel for what it’s like to be a pilot and to gain an understanding of different areas of the aviation industry.  North Shore Aero Club runs Aviation Gateway Programme once a year in August.
