For hundreds of years, many have tried and failed to unlock the mystery of flight. Designs came in all shapes and sizes.

Then sometime in the 17th century, ‘heavier than air’ aircraft or what became known as gliders entered the world of aviation. It wasn’t until the Wright Brothers vastly improved wing design did we finally achieve controlled flight. Soon after internal combustion engines were attached to aircraft and powered flight became part of the conversation.
Although wing and engine design has improved since then, the fundamentals remain the same.
