SUMMARY:CPL Principles of Flight | AIPA (September)
DESCRIPTION:For hundreds of years, (even Da-Vinci gave it a go), we had tried to unlock the secret to flight. Finally, in the very early 1900s ( Richard Pearse or Orville Wright, you decide) powered flight was a mystery no longer!! So was it some magical formula, some new form of technology or just pure luck that opened the doors???\nQuite simply it was an understanding of the 4 main forces and how they interact and depend on each other…..Lift, weight, drag and thrust.\nOver the duration of this course, we will dive into these forces in greater detail and gain an understanding of how we manage and manipulate them to our benefit, each and every time we fly.\nWe will look at aircraft control surfaces and design – the tools of our trade – we will investigate things like our use of fuel for range and endurance and also how Newton’s 3 laws are not just things you needed to learn at school!!!\nAircraft and aircraft technology have come a long way since 1902/1903, Pearse/Orville, however, the fundamentals are still exactly the same!\nThis is an extended version of the full-time ground course designed specifically for the Auckland International Pilot Academy (AIPA). This version of this ground course has more learning time spent on each subject in the classroom and also allows students to have an extra Study Day at the Club together with an Instructor to prepare for the exam.\nPRICE – $649\nPlease note that After Pay, ZIP and Lay Buy payment options are not available for this course.\nThis course will be running from 0830 to 1630 for 5 days on the 18, 19, 20, 23 and 24th of September with an extra Study Day on the 25 and 26th of September.\nNOTE: Seats on this course are limited and subject to the number of students enrolled for the full-time Diploma course. \nIf you have any questions or would like any further information please get in touch and we can assist you further.\n0800 4 WINGS | office@nsac.co.nz\n
