The North Shore Aero Club values its members and wants the experience they share within the Club to be pleasant and memorable. This is underlined by a policy of total commitment towards customer satisfaction. We are constantly striving to make our facilities the best in the country.

The clubhouse is a two storey building on Postman Road designed for aviation purposes. The ground level is dedicated to flight training and aviation operations, with four briefing rooms, a flight planning room, a lecture room, a flight office and reception area.

The club tries to create a warm friendly atmosphere, as well as a busy social calendar for all our club members. The upper level consists of a large recreational area, a lounge, bar and kitchen area which lends itself naturally to relaxation and family entertainment.

The North Shore Aero Club has always made a special effort to assist its members to enjoy their flying by organizing recreational activities. In addition to flight training and aircraft hire, the club also supports a wide variety of events ranging from competition flying, South Island trips, charity events, air shows, formation flying, skiing holidays, oceanic flying and the famous annual Great Northern Air Race.

Other activities that are also included throughout the year are beach and farm strip courses, aerobatics, rating courses, night flying and regional and national competitions.

The club member's official annual function is the Wings Dinner, where competition trophies and prizes are presented and graduating pilots are presented with their wings. This event is the highlight of the annual social calendar for the aero club and something which sets us apart, including all our additional recreational and competition flying, from a standard flying school.
