Brian Langley Memorial Aerobatic Contest - POSTPONED
Saturday, 03 March 2012, 08:00 - 16:00
Due to the extraordinary weather expected on 3rd March 2012 - The event is POSTPONED.
2012 will see the 21st running of this competition, held at North Shore every January (weather permitting!) If you check the Honours Board at the club you will see that Brian Langley was both President and CFI at different times in North Shore’s history.
Aerobatics were his passion and those of us that were fortunate enough to be his students carry that passion with us still.
Sadly we lost Brian in 1991 but the Special Syndicate, which he founded, continues to operate Pitts S2S ZK WIZ to this day.
Brian took great pleasure from introducing new pilots to the sport which is why the BL Contest is designed to allow aerobatic pilots of all experience levels to take part.
Competition is across all the IAC categories from Primary to Unlimited with the best percentage score taking the magnificent trophy.
