| History | |
| The "Rearwin" was a resident aircraft at the North Shore airfield. This aircraft was the original owner and restorer of the aircraft and ownership was later transferred to Gerry Astley (whom presented this trophy). At both club and RNZAC level, the competition is elligible for both SPL and PPL pilots. |
