Young Eagles Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions

North Shore Aero Club offers up to 12 young men and women the opportunity to join the Young Eagles Programme. The objective of the Young Eagles programme is to give young people an opportunity to experience flying, foster enthusiasm for aviation and provide a taste of the thrill of becoming a pilot for either recreation or as a career.

Those selected will gain hands on flight experience in light aircraft and participate in visits to aviation facilities around the Auckland region. These activities are supported by the North Shore Aero Club, its members and sponsors of the programme. Photos of Young Eagles participating in these activities may be used on the NSAC and Young Eagles social media pages.

The Young Eagles programme runs from March to September each year. The programme may be amended at the discretion of the NSAC Young Eagles Flight Leaders.

The programme is planned to run fortnightly on Saturdays/Sundays with some weekdays during the school holidays involved. Activities are normally of 1 – 6 hours duration and are held at or start from the North Shore Aero Club, Postman Road, Dairy Flat. Some activities are weather dependent and maybe cancelled or postponed. Missed activities may not be carried over.
