Airfield

The North Shore Airfield is a great asset for the North Shore Aero Club. Consisting of more than sixty acres it has two all-weather runways, the main runway (03/21) is constructed in concrete and equipped with a lighting system for night flying operations. Both runways are serviced by a network of concrete taxiways, which enhance aircraft movements and minimize the time spent on the ground.

There is a fully automated refuelling facility for Avgas and Jet-A1 which operates 24 hours a day. There are several professional aircraft maintenance organizations, including restoration specialists and approximately thirty private aircraft hangars also located at the airfield.

Aside from the Robin R2120 basic trainer (and the R2160 aerobatic version), a wide variety of Cessna & Piper aircraft are available to members for pilot training or private hire.

All are maintained in excellent condition and equipped with modern avionics. With at least 15 aircraft to choose from, members are assured of being able to hire the type of aircraft they want, whenever they want it.
